Nick Foligno and R.J. Umberger

Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards said forwards Nick Foligno and R.J. Umberger have both been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 1 against Pittsburgh, but he's confident they'll play at some point during this best-of-seven, first-round series.
"We're anticipating them both being ready at some point in this series," Richards said. "We just don't know when."
Foligno has a knee injury. Umberger, who is from Pittsburgh, has an upper body injury.
The Blue Jackets, already without right wing Nathan Horton for at least the first two rounds, face a severe experience shortage when compared to the Penguins. The 12 forwards Columbus dressed in their final regular-season game on Saturday in vs. Florida has played only 69 career playoff games.
