Jason Chimera

Jason Chimera is starting to emerge from his cocoon, and scored for the second night in a row. He also racked up a Gordie Howe (named after a player known for his scoring prowess and his fisticuffs) hat trick, an unofficial variation of the hat trick, which includes a goal, an assist and a fight all in the same night.
The former Blue Jacket had one, of two, unassisted goals, an assist to Brian Pothier, and a fight with Gregory Campbell of the Panthers.
“It’s nice anytime you get a goal and an assist,” Chimera said after the game. “The guys are kind of ribbing me about the Gordie Howe hat trick.Anytime you can help your team, no matter what it is, it’s nice to help out and get the ball rolling there.”
