Columbus Blue Jackets preseason schedule

The Columbus Blue Jackets will play an eight-game preseason schedule, including four home games at Nationwide Arena, prior to their ninth National Hockey League season, the club announced Monday.The complete schedule:

Mon. Sept. 21 MINNESOTA, 7 p.m.
Tue. Sept. 22: BOSTON, 7 p.m.
Thu. Sept. 24: PITTSBURGH, 7 p.m.
Fri. Sept. 25: at Pittsburgh, 7:30 p.m.
Mon. Sept. 28: NASHVILLE, 7 p.m.

The Columbus Blue Jackets and star winger Rick Nash have agreed on an eight-year, $62.4 million contract extension through 2018 with talk of a salary cap hit in the $8 million range and a no-movement clause. The contract was finalized on Friday, with an annual cap hit of $7.8 million, a no-movement clause in the first five years and a limited NMC in the final three "Rick is a Blue Jacket.
